Online pictures
Dear Pud,
There's this girl who I just met online. We've chatted for ages, and she says she likes me. I like her a lot but she's only seen one picture of me, and it doesn't really look that much like me.
Now she wants to meet in person (and before you say anything, my friend knows her, so it's not a pedo or anything lol - I'm 14), but I'm afraid she might have thought of me as looking different from the pic.
What should I do?
Cheers, Dan 14 years old Hastings, England, UK Dan,
Everyone lies in their online pics. We only post the ones that make us look more awesome than we actually are. So don't worry -- she's freaking out about the same thing.
In addition, she cares about your looks about 1% as much as you care about hers. It's low on the female list of priorities. So be confident and make her feel like she's the lucky one -- and you'll do fine.
Rock on, Pud
Random boring 3-part question
Dear Pud,
I think Pud.com is acting funny... didn't see any links or right margin content, and had to search Google to find a sub page.
BTW, did you write the blog scripts yourself, or do you use something?
Thanks, Wil 46 years old Baltimore, Maryland Wil,
- Right-column disappearance - One of the traffic stats programs I was using was crashing my site. Removed it. Thanks.
- Searching Google - I just changed the Search Pud engine (above) to use Google Custom Search Engine. Works well and fits into the design of the site. Type something into my search box.
- Blog scripts - I'm using Blogger, but I made a few customizations to the template, such as the "Click here to ask me anything" link on the upper-right.
Rock on, Pud
